DSRSD
Clean Water Revival Engineer's Report

WBA completed an engineering report that was used by the California Department of Health Services to permit the DSRSD to inject recycled water into the groundwater for indirect potable reuse. The recycled water would be produced using the District’s Clean Water Revival facilities, which consist of microfiltration (MF), reverse osmosis, and UV disinfection. The Engineering Report incorporated the geotechnical, process and operational documentation to demonstrate that injection of recycled water into the groundwater complied with all applicable DHS regulations. WBA also managed all communications with DHS during the review process. To date, these are the only facilities permitted by DHS to produce recycled water for indirect potable reuse.

SBSAFirst Step Recycled Water Project Engineer’s Report
WBA completed an engineering report that was used by the California Department of Health Services (DHS) to permit the South Bayside System Authority (SBSA) and the City of Redwood City (City) to produce tertiary recycled water and distribute it for unrestricted irrigation use. The First Step Project (Project) is a joint project between SBSA and the City, and is an interim recycled water project until a city-wide project is implemented. Recycled water is produced at the SBSA wastewater treatment plant. Secondary effluent passes through a dual media filter for filtration and is then chlorinated for disinfection. The First Step Project utilizes existing treatment facilities, with some modifications, and existing modified distribution infrastructure. SBSA’s recycled water quality satisfies the stringent regulations established under the California Code of Regulations Title 22 definition for disinfected tertiary recycled water. WBA also prepares subsequent updates to the engineering report and provides continued communications with DHS, as improvements are made to the treatment facilities and/or reuse program which deviate from the initial engineering report.

City of YountvilleFuzzy Filter Engineer’s Report
WBA prepared an Engineer's Report to the Regional Water Quality Control Board and the California Department of Health Services (DHS) as required by Title 22. The Engineer's Report included descriptions of the treatment facilities, including the new Fuzzy Filter tertiary filtration process, documented the turbidity and virus removal performance of the unit, and described how the recycled water would be used by the several irrigation users in the area. The users include two golf courses and several vineyards in the Napa Valley area around the Town. Based on the report, the City received approval from DHS to use the fuzzy filter.
