DSRSD – Water
Reservoir 300A
WBA performed project management, detailed design, and construction management
services for Water Reservoir 300A. WBA’s role covered the complete project
cycle from initial planning to design to construction. The project involved close
coordination with the District User Group to ensure the facility was planned
and designed with full input from those who will be responsible for operation
and maintenance of the facilities. The first months of construction were marked
by coordination and scheduling issues between the contractor and its main subcontractor.
These difficulties required the close attention of the construction management
team, and timely focus on these issues allowed them to be addressed sufficiently
to bring the project back on schedule.
CITY
OF LATHROP – Booster Station #3 and Reservoir
WBA performed construction management for a booster pump station
and steel reservoir. The pump station contained two vertical
turbine pumps with VFDs, emergency generator, fire pump, and
wireless SCADA control system. The pump station and reservoir
are located within a housing development, and therefore noise
attenuation and appearance were significant issues. The project
included architectural treatment for the reservoir, pump station,
and site to improve the aesthetic appearance of the project for
the neighboring homes.
DSRSD – Northern
Dougherty Zone 3 Water Facilities
WBA performed construction management and office
engineering services during construction for Water Reservoir 300B
and Pump
Station 300C. Water reservoir 300B is a prestressed concrete
reservoir with a volume of 1.7 million gallons. Pump Station
300C is a pump station with VFDs with a capacity of 1.9 MGD.
The project also contains control and communications components
as needed to monitor and control the facilities via the District’s
existing SCADA system.
