City of Redwood City – Recycled Water Project
WBA successfully obtained a total of nearly $5 million in grants for the City’s Recycled Water Project. The City has funding agreements to receive up to more than $2.9 million through the State Revolving Fund Program, nearly $1 million through Proposition 50 Integrated Regional Water Management (IRWM) Grant Program, and just over $1 million in federal grants through the United States Bureau of Reclamation’s Title XVI program. WBA worked closely with City staff and State and Federal agencies to prepare the funding applications. WBA is currently providing SRF administration services, including coordinating with both the Construction Manager, City staff and State Board staff to satisfy the conditions of the funding agreement. In addition, WBA is providing funding agreement administration services for both the IRWM grant and Title XVI funding.
City of Atwater–Wastewater Treatment Facilities
WBA is providing State Revolving Fund application assistance for the City of Atwater. The City is planning for the construction of a new 6.0-mgd wastewater treatment plant to comply with its new waste discharge permit. WBA has prepared an application for the City and interfaces with the State Board on the City's behalf to achieve a funding commitment.
City of Redwood City–Water Conservation Program
WBA prepared the funding application that secured $250,000 for the City's Water Conservation Program through funding from the Department of Water Resources' Urban Drought Assistance Grant Program. The grant was awarded to the City's Commercial, Industrial and Residential Toilet and Urinal Replacement, and Rebates for Industrial and Commercial Accounts project. The total project cost was estimated at just under $1 million.
South Bayside System Authority–Capital Improvement Projects
WBA is providing State Revolving Fund assistance to the South Bayside System Authority for funding of four of their Capital Improvements projects. WBA’s role in this task includes advisory services on how the SRF program is integrated into the project schedule as well as preparation of four separate funding applications for the SBSA projects. WBA is working closely with SBSA and State Board staff in the approval of the funding agreements. WBA’s experience in working with State Board staff and SRF policy facilitates the process for securing SRF funding.
Central Contra Costa Sanitary District–Recycled Water Project
WBA is assisting CCCSD with pursuit of more than $7 million in federal funding through the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's Title XVI program for the District's CCCSD-Concord Recycled Water Project. WBA prepared the Feasibility Study in accordance with the Bureau's Directives and Standards and is working closely with Bureau staff to track progress during the federal review process.
Dublin San Ramon Services District–Recycled Water Project
WBA is assisting DSRSD with pursuit of just over $1 million in federal funding through the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's Title XVI program for the District's Central Dublin Recycled Water Distribution and Retrofit Project. WBA prepared the Feasibility Study in accordance with the Bureau's Directives and Standards and is working closely with Bureau staff to track progress during the federal review process.
Ironhouse Sanitary District–Recycled Water Program
Ironhouse Sanitary District, located in Oakley, Californian, joined the Bay Area Recycled Water Coalition to seek federal funding for its recycled water program under Title XVI. WBA is ISD Coalition representative. WBA participates in Coalition meetings and meeting between the Coalition and the Bureau of Reclamation on Ironhouse’s behalf. WBA keeps ISD management up to date on Coalition activities and initiates responses to request for project specific information. WBA also provides advice and guidance to ISD on its approach to obtain federal funding for its recycled water project.
