ABSTRACT
The
Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) needed to replace its
outdated, unreliable, and maintenance intensive analog control
system with a more reliable SCADA system. Since the District staff
had little experience with SCADA systems, a project goal was to
install a system that would be easy for the operators to use.
This paper will discuss the various strategies used throughout
the design and installation process to achieve this goal. In addition,
it will discuss how the project was managed to take advantage
of opportunities to cost-effectively obtain operator input into
the SCADA system.
