ABSTRACT
Digester gas contains
many contaminants that will adversely affect beneficial uses
for digester gas. This presentation gave a background of what
digester gas contaminants are, why they need to be removed,
and how to remove them. Emphasis wais placed on removal of
Siloxanes, Hydrogen Sulfide, and water. Siloxanes are the contaminant
causing the most significant problems for beneficial use of
digester gas. Details on what they are, where they come from,
and how then end up in digester gas were given. Finally, a
review of the technology available to remove Siloxanes was
presented.
